Annual results 2016: a profitable growth of 32% for APL
APL records a turnover of 9.4 million euros, an increase of 32% compared to 2015 (7.1 million euros). Operating profit more than doubled and reached 570 000 euros (against 230 000 in 2015).
Notably in 2016, the growth was driven by a greater number of missions for the public sector. The revenues from projects in the private sector remained stable. Regardless of the sectors, APL interventions mainly focused on consulting and assistance to the project owner to consolidate, optimize, upgrade and operate the existing sites in accordance with professional standards, or to improve the energy efficiency of data centers.
This year was also marked by a stronger demand in IT hosting consultancy services, which represent now nearly 10% of the turnover of APL.
“The digital transformation of our clients or the obsolescence of some sites led many organizations to question their hosting choices. Consolidation, renovation, construction, hybrid hosting: we help them define the best hosting strategy for their IT production”, says Christophe Weiss, Managing Director.
In 2017, APL intends to consolidate its positions on its historical line of business in France as well as internationally, especially with English-speaking hosts and firms established in Africa and French-speaking Europe. To continue its development, the company relies also on new offers.
“We are now offering support to organizations opting for outsourcing: we help them manage and control hosting services and contracts. Moreover, we are currently developing our offers, always in line with our core business, namely the guarantee of the service continuity of our clients’ IT production”, concludes Christophe Weiss.
