APL Data Center continues its European expansion with a new location in Italy
APL Data Center, the French leader in consulting and engineering specialized in data center design and construction, announces the opening of its branch in Milan. This opening is part of its expansion strategy aimed at supporting its hyperscaler clients in Europe.
Italy represents a new strategic regional market for APL Data Center, with a key position in the digital ecosystem and a strong expansion of this industry. In this context, the Italian team based in Milan, currently consisting of 7 employees and expected to reach 15 by the end of the year, provides project management expertise and skills in close proximity to its European clients. Current teams are already working on major projects with a total combined capacity of 75MW IT, representing approximately 150,000 physical servers.
Furthermore, the Italian teams have also established strategic partnerships with local players, such as the IDA (Italian Data Center Association), as part of a commitment to integrate into the local economic fabric.
A new milestone in APL Data Center's international development
As part of its IMPACT 2027 strategic plan and the opening of its locations in Switzerland and Italy, APL Data Center is pursuing its expansion strategy to support its clients and the market across several geographical areas, meeting the challenges of deadlines and responsiveness in infrastructure deployment.
“We have earned the trust of our first clients and demonstrated our ability to balance meeting deadlines, technical performance, and economic efficiency, while respecting the environmental requirements essential for project acceptability. We are resolutely committed to contributing to the growth of digital technology and, more broadly, artificial intelligence within Italian cities,” says Julien Humblot, Director of APL in Italy.
“The opening of our branch in Italy embodies our commitment to meeting our clients' growing demand to deploy their international projects. This strategic location allows us to provide broader support to our hyperscaler clients in Europe and Africa. It marks an important step in our desire to strengthen our proximity to them as a trusted partner,” concludes Tristan Richard, CEO of APL Data Center.
