Fiducial relies on APL to design its new data center, located in Lyon

To support the development of its activities, the Fiducial Group decided in 2010 to expand its operational headquarters in Lyon Vaise. While construction of the building was already well underway, the company decided to install a brand-new data center in this new property complex. This IT room is to become the Group’s main IT production and backup centre.

Context and objectives of the assignment

Fiducial commissioned APL to define its needs, analyse the technical constraints and assess the feasibility of the project. The company also relied on APL to support it during the construction and acceptance phases.

Install a data center in a building under construction, which was initially intended to house offices only
Define the capacity, security and service continuity requirements of the new IT room
Design a reliable, scalable data center capable of meeting medium- and long-term IT needs
Implement redundancy between the new IT room and the old one
Receive support throughout all design and implementation phases
