The Groupement Informatique de la Protection Sociale (GIPS) has two data centers to host the applications of the social protection groups APICIL and IRCEM. Following an audit, it appeared that both data centers needed to be renovated to improve redundancy, guarantee a high level of service continuity, and increase hosting capacities.

Context and objectives of the assignment

GIPS commissioned APL to redesign and upgrade the group's main data center, with one major constraint: maintaining IT production during the works.

Upgrading a data center without interrupting IT production
Increasing electrical capacities and service continuity levels
Increasing the data center's surface area by rehabilitating existing premises (offices and storage)

Management and coordination of approximately fifteen trades involved in the project
Creation of technical rooms to house the new 2N redundancy infrastructure
Rehabilitation of the existing room, development of an extension, relocation of IT equipment, and installation of new server racks
