APL Data Center announces an evolution of its governance to support its clients’ performance
In response to sustained growth momentum and market developments, APL Data Center, a consulting and engineering firm specialising in the design and delivery of data centers, today presented its new governance. This reorganisation is intended in particular to improve the performance delivered to APL’s clients, thereby strengthening its position as a sector leader.
Tristan Richard is appointed to lead APL Data Center’s Executive Management
Tristan Richard, currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer of APL Data Center, is appointed Chief Executive Officer of APL Data Center as of July 1, 2024. He will be responsible for the company’s management and for achieving APL’s strategic objectives, as well as for rolling out the Group’s next strategic plan. Tristan Richard joined APL in January 2003 and played an active role in the company’s growth from the very beginning.

The creation of a Supervisory Committee to oversee APL’s strategic direction
In order to ensure the sustainability of its growth and continuity in the Group’s strategic decision-making, Robert Bouchard, Chairman of APL Data Center, announced the establishment of a Supervisory Committee co-chaired by Christophe Weiss, APL’s current Chief Executive Officer. Acting in an advisory capacity, the Committee will meet regularly to share its recommendations on the company’s operations, the definition and implementation of its strategy, the development of innovations, representation within the main professional bodies, and major decision-making. It draws on the experience and networks of its members to ensure APL’s healthy, sustained and structured development.
The implementation of a new internal organisation built around key expertise and activities
As part of the NextGen2024 strategic plan, and in order to be able to address projects mobilising significant multidisciplinary resources, APL Data Center has implemented a new internal matrix organisation in addition to its business units:
- Brice Legay is appointed Director of Data Center Engineering Operations, in charge of the “turnkey data center” business line;
- Frédéric Perrigault is appointed Director of Consulting and Existing Sites Operations, in charge of the “Consulting” business line;
- Jérôme Batou-To Van is appointed Director of the “Hyperscalers” business line.
Their mission will be to accelerate APL’s development in its strategic segments, while remaining true to its corporate mission, Organic Design, which aims to design data centers in symbiosis with their environment.
