APL Data Center has obtained ISO 45001 certification and renewed its ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications
The attainment of ISO 45001 certification, along with the renewal of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, recognizes APL Data Center’s commitment to continuous improvement in making the health and safety of its employees one of its top priorities, alongside the commitment to providing impeccable service quality and managing the environmental impact of its operations.
ISO 45001: The health and safety of our employees at the heart of our priorities
The ISO 45001 standard provides organizations with a framework to improve their occupational health and safety performance. It aims to prevent occupational risks and improve working conditions for employees.
Achieving this certification is the result of several months of in-depth work, which has led to several initiatives to develop a culture of workplace risk prevention. A few examples:
- Drafting of the 10 Golden Rules for Health & Safety on construction sites and in the office.
- Implementation of standardized documentation for all employees working on construction, retrofit, or data center maintenance sites.
- A road safety awareness campaign, given the frequent business travel undertaken by a large portion of employees.
- Organization of an annual “Safety Week.”
- Strengthening the skills development plan with training focused on risk anticipation, first aid, and awareness of risky situations.
Renewal of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications
The ISO 9001 certification, relating to quality management, and the ISO 14001 certification, relating to environmental management, which were first obtained in 2021, have also been renewed.
