GALEC's data center is located in the same building as its head office. After a site audit revealed certain points for improvement, GALEC chose APL to manage upgrades to the site in order make it more reliable, more economical, and easier to operate.
Project objective
- Install a new electrical and climate control network dedicated to the computer rooms, in order to reach Tier-3 levels of service continuity
- Reduce operating costs and energy consumption: re-organize the computer rooms in order to optimize the performance of air conditioning units and reduce energy consumption (target PUE ≤ 1.5); install an economical cooling solution
